Schaefer receives Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary designation

PEMBROKE - The M&A Source has conferred its prestigious designation of Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI) on Ken Schaefer, deputy director of Business Transition Strategies, a merger and acquisition firm based here.

Schaefer is a resident of Manchester. The firm serves companies in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine when they are brought to market for sale and also assists in advisory engagements with a diversity of clients.

The M&A Source, based in Atlanta, is the world’s largest international organization of experienced, dedicated merger and acquisition intermediaries representing the middle market.

The designation is awarded to those who have proven professional excellence through verified transaction experience, education, conference attendance, and peer review, the association said in making the announcement.

“This achievement is particularly important since it shows real life experience in getting deals done,” said John Howe, director of Business Transition Strategies. “Education and association involvement help industry professionals be effective in their work. This designation is a mark of distinction that company owners can use in selecting advisors.”

BTS, a division of N.H. Business Sales, Inc., has offices in Pembroke, N.H. and Andover, Mass. and has a team of associates who work on engagements. Schaefer is a board member of the New England Business Brokers Association and serves on the board of Opera New Hampshire.
