What We Need from You 

We will need access to a variety of information about your business to the extent that it is appropriate:

Fiscal year financial statements. Three years of complete statements, including federal and state business tax returns.

Operational financial statements. Internal profit and loss statements corresponding with tax returns. Balance sheet for most recent fiscal year. Comparative profit and loss statement. Current accounts receivable and accounts payable statements. Sales by month for past two years. Current inventory report. Seasonal inventory and receivable details.  Information about company debt and obligations.

Legal structure. Information about company organization structure (S Corp, C Corp, LLC or other form of ownership) a list of owners and description of their share in the business.

Business organizational details. Organizational chart covering management and staff. List of management and key employees, including job descriptions with indication of major responsibilities. List of staff, classification and payroll details (hourly, salary, contract, etc)

Management planning information. Budget details from current, and where appropriate, previous years. Financial projections or assessments. Marketing studies conducted and plans in progress.

Operational details. List of vendors, suppliers and service providers with volume attached. List of critical customers and sales volume, current and historical. Details about property lease or property ownership. Environmental reports.

Equipment, Furniture and Fixtures. List of all tangible assets including production and operations equipment; vehicles; computers and specialized software programs; and hard assets that are part of the business.

Intangible assets. List any intangible assets or liabilities, including agreements with a previous owner; equipment or real estate lease; patents; domain names.

Competitors and industry sources: List of key competitors and their estimated market share. List of trade or professional associations the company is affiliated with.

Company story and company history: Promotional materials and marketing documents used to tell the company’s story and the nature of its business.
